The try
I wanted a cohesive fit on color scheme. I initially thought I would like the different shades of brown, but it just felt like I was trying too hard for it to work.
Part of this tells me I was just excited to try new pieces and break them in. I'm not really someone who waits to wear things later. It takes me forever to convince myself to make a purchase, so by the time I do, I wear it instantly. I think there are a couple of people who buy a piece and then don't wear it for a couple of months, which I have no idea how they do.
I still think it was nice, but maybe a black pair of jeans or a lighter wash would have really made the sandwich of brown pop a bit more.
my sister's grade ↓My sister said it was too brown, while my wife said it was cute. But she always says that. So I'm going with my sister here.
I did only wear this fit to go out on the farm.
The pieces
- Blundstone boots, rustic brown. $155
- Abercrombie flannel and relaxed brown jeans. $100 total
- Silver puffer case. A birthday gift
What I liked / what I didn't
- I love all three pieces individually
- I did like how everything fit together
- Very fall-like
- The color scheme might have been too brown
- Not as much detail
- The puffer case could have been swapped for black
Bottom line
If you were going apple picking or to the pumpkin patch, this could be a great fit.
skip (as is) ✗I might not repeat this outfit exactly the same again, so skip.
